A fabulous Antique Suffragette locket from the early 20th Century featuring a lovely spray etched onto the front encircled by a wonderful, embossed border. The flowers are studded with green Peridot and violet Amethyst petals and a bow decorated with Pearls.
Together the colours of each stone pay tribute to the women’s Suffragette movement which took place in the early 20th century and popularly consisted of Violet, Green and White stones which symbolised; Violet for Loyalty, White for Purity and Green for Hope, or Give Women Votes!
The piece is 9ct Gold back and front and gilded in 18ct Yellow Gold. It’s in excellent condition and complete with rims and windows within so two cherished photographs can be stored.
